Come To The Dark Side

Close your eyes for a second, and just think about your favorite lipstick. Makes you happy right? (C'mon we don't judge here!)I've found the most beautiful color. Cyber by MAC. it goes with my hair and just my being, perfectly! I love how it looks almost black but its not and different liners can make it look darker or lighter as well. I added Maybelline's Oh La Lilac to it to lighten it up a bit in the center. You don't have to do that but its just an idea. Oh la la is right my peoples, this is a breath taking color. I'll do it proud.

I was just feeling myself way too much! Oh well its perfect. Sorry for the long wait! Work was tiring me out, oh well, that's life. Until we meet again, thanks for the love!

Revlon Palette: Day 3

Well dayum Dammy! Its about time! I know I know I'm sorry. So many things have went on since the last post. New job interviews and classes.. ya girl has been ohh to busy. However, I have this vampy look from the same pallete. I cheated a little because I added black from another palette. But its all good, the look will come out just about the same if you add a lots of brown.

Revlon Palette Makeup: Day Two

Hello! welcome back or if this is your first time on this blog, welcome to THEUNIQUE28! As I had promised yesterday, I would do three looks using the Revlon Palette I had just purchased. This look today is more bronzy because I'm not using the pink but the gold glitter and dark brown.

 WARNING: The glitter is messy! Use with caution! Also, I didn't not try to ombre or lighten my lips, I just put that gold in the center of my lips, rubbed them together and there you go. I just wanted something different from just a plan color. But if you don't like it, you don't have to do it.  

Hope this helped some beautiful person out there. Help spark your imagination!This look is different than what I would usually do but I need to step out of my comfort zone once in a while. A piece of glitter fell on my nose and looked like a stud, that got me really thinking.. should I get a nose ring? Random.. yes!

Revlon Prom Makeup: Day One

Hello lovely people! So today I bought this  palette from Revlon that has fairly good bright tones. I'm not the type that likes palettes honestly but the whole point of me buying it was to show that different looks can be made with a small palette. If you're darker in complexion like myself, the best way to get the most color possible is to wet your brush first, and then pick up the color you want. This look is sweet for prom especially if you're not looking for something way to dramatic. I didn't really do anything to my face, its all about the eyes and lips.

Here I am! Job Interview Makeup

Well I thought this would be appropriate for a lot of people especially my college loves who are trying to get jobs for the summer like myself. Or heck, any woman for that matter. Here is a really simple look that I think will just make you glow on your job interview. Here is a look that just glows, makes me look as natural as possible but yet you can tell there is a little something there. Due to my darkness -___-, and the darkness in my room, I couldn't get the right lighting to show you the contoured cheeks or the soft pink lips but, you get the picture. P.S.A!! This is my first time using a liquid foundation and I'm pretty impressed. However, it can clog pores so I'll just stick to my 1 pump concealer to 2 pump primer routine.

I know, I know mad simple but effective. From what the BOSS told me aka my mother, she said too much is a distraction to the interviewer and he or she wont really focus on you. But a little makeup never hurt but make it just enough to make you look polished, ready and alert. What better way is that than with a little highlighter and gold on the eyes? Electric Blue Makeup Look

Hello my laries and gents! Once again, another hiatus but the semester was just becoming to real at the end. Oh well, I'm back. I just wanted to show you this look I did for the day. I was bored and hopefully I have somewhere to go today to show it off... LAME. My obsession of makeup has increased so I'll have to be showing my slowly but surely makeup collection.

How to Get a Natural Glow Makeup Tutorial

You're probably wondering why I have half my face covered. Well, I only did half  my face.. SURPRISE! Dammy has entered another level of weirdness. But the reason I did this was to show one side of my face that has no more makeup which is more shiny, while the other side has makeup but a glowy natural look.

 

Concealer- MAC Pro Longwear NW45

Primer- MAC Prep+Prime

Light Concealer- Maybelline "Cafe" 30

Highlight- Victoria Secret Cheek Love "Dollface"

Powder- Mayballine loose powder "115"

Bronzer- MAC Bronzing Powder Matte Bronze

 

Even though this looks like a lot for a simple look. I promise you, I don't use much.

1. Apply a pump or two of any concealer mixed with a primer on your palm and mix with brush and then apply . I do this just because it helps the shininess in my face subside.

2. Use a lighter concealer 2-3 shades lighter than you for a highlight under the eyes and cheeks to cheekbone and blend.

3. Get your favorite setting powder and apply it where the concealer under the eyes and cheeks were added.

4. For a bronzer, you can use a darker foundation like myself or just use a regular bronzer. I use for now a liquid foundation and then set it with a bronzing power.

 

 

5. Put your highlighter where the highest part of your cheekbone is. If you don't have this, its not that serious, the look will still come out looking FRESH.

 

Viola! You're done! This is a perfect look for daytime or days you want to look simple.

Now kiss yourself in the mirror, your looking way to hot not to! or just make silly faces like myself.

Wet n Wild Lips

 

Oh, Dammy, you're back again.. DAFUQ you want? I know I know , another hiatus again. Forgive me, ONCE AGAIN. This has been a bad habit of mine that I will try my hardest to fix. I can't even blame the school work anymore, this is what I love to do, so I must stick to it. Spring is nearing and you know what that means.. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! that's right not a damn thing because whatever I wore in winter on my lips is what i will continue to where till i get tired of it. No need to change my looks now.

 I love a rusty dark matte red like the next, like this little number from Wet n Wild. Its called Cherry Bomb 918D. It's great for a night on the town and if you're like me, you just wear in the day. Its only $1.99!  

For a more spring time look, you can try Bare It All 902C which is a matte nude color. For me, it comes out more pinkish tan since I'm darker but for fare to light skin, it will appear more tan to skin tone. Matte nudes can be a little intimidating especially if you're on the darker side but with lips liners in a brown tone, you should be ok.

 

These are just little pick ups from the store that are great for any time of the year. Hay, just do you all day everyday no matter what the season. However, let me know which one you liked best or if you have them. Truth be told, I need to invest in lip liners...Seriously.

Don't mind the x's but voila I'm proud to say I'm now somewhat interested in makeup! For the past couple of days, I've been on a makeup haul, legit, I literally lived in MAC and Sephora for the past two days. By far MAC is my favorite even though its on the pricier side. Neways, back to the lip colors. For winter, dark Berry like colors are whats in so I've given my personal favorite shades as of now. 

Here is MAC's Ruby Woo. This is a Matte lip color, but I added a little gloss before putting it on so my lips wont feel so dry. I love this red, and honestly I never thought I could pull this off. 

Don't mind me. This is MAC Media on my lips on its own.

Refresh Your Hair

Hair feeling dry these days? If you have curly, straight, wavy ahir texture, dryness doesn't discriminate... we all suffer from it. Since I've been natural I've been lazy as hell to really take care of my hair at times, therefore it lacks moisture. After shampooing or after adding heat to hair, your hair can become dry due to the decrease in sebum and other natural oils being depleted. Therefore its important to add moisture back into your hair so that it looks its best and can grow healthy and strong. Why I included honey to this conditioner is because honey is known as an humectant which traps water (which is the main thing that moisturizes hair) and the conditioner helps lock that in. Hair can be deep conditioned for 30-45 minutes or longer. But, well moisturized hair leaves hair feeling fresh and so clean and looking great always! Use any conditioner of your choosing, I just recently found this one and loved it, especially since its organic!  Tell me if you do this as well or share whatever you do that helps your hair stay moisturized.
 

Fall Lip Color

I'm not really the makeup type of person but for some reason I've been in the exploring some. We all know that MAC is just an awesome line of makeup so i decided to buy my first lip liner and lipstick from them. This color is great for fall and looks great on really any skin tone in my opinion. Also, pencil lining really gives a better definition of your lips and really makes the lip color come out! the lip gloss is just a nice finish so that the whole look doesn't look so pasty.
