College Student's Chill Day Outfits

All these exams I'm taking reaffirms the idea that I shall soon be a college student in less than two months! I can't just take my whole wardrobe with me nor can I always dress up depending on my class schedules. However, I found these great outfit Ideas for an everyday college student that I think I can abide to quite nicely. I'm not saying all of you should throw away your jeans and shorts but it would be a great idea if you have not already to invest in maxi skirts. They are free flowing, chic and make someone always look fashionable. I apsolutely love the color ranges so wear one that fits your mood of the day. You can always dress them up or down with a nice blouse or a cute slouchy t-shirt when your in a rush to class. If your going to be an incoming freshman or your going back to school and want to rearrange your wardrobe, definitely put these styles into consideration.

Prom 2012

So this weekend was a big one, PROM 2012! It was colorful, fun, beautiful, ecstatic, gorgeous just everything all wrapped up in one. I was especially proud because I was one of those who got their dress last minute and literally down to the second, I didn't know what to do with my hair but it all worked out in the end, thank God. Dinner was great with my crew, I couldn't ask for better friends and the limo was a party on its own with the multi-colored lights flashing and the music blasting through the speakers and the CYDER pouring. The night was just one to remember, wouldn't change it for the world.

 

What I Wore To My Award Ceremony

So today we had an award ceremony today at school, we had to look all dolled up and perty so you know we had to be on point. I wasn't really sure what to wear but I found this dress at Forever21 that I thought was just delightful, no no fierce. The color is perfect for spring and it just pops. Its simple but it speaks volumes as well. Its a sweet flowery dress that anyone could wear with ease.

Sunday's Best

Hay my peoples :) Just wanted to show you my outfit that I wore to Church today. I have a blue satin top that I got from Ross, this Ankara style skirt that was sown for me in Nigeria, and black Mary Jane style shoes from Aldo. Hope you had a great weekend and start fresh tomorrow. I sure will, I'm sleeping in!

School Day Outift

For school today, i didn't want to dress up way to much but I still wanted to look fashionable... it was one of those days I cared, but I didn't.... So I tried something really simple today. I paired this cute Polka Dot high low blouse from Forever 21 (by the way my new obsessions are polka dots and stripes! ahhh!) and I put that on top of a dark blue jeans and some white oxfords from Forever21 as well. Sadly, since I like those shoes so much, I wouldn't call them white anymore, more like a off white :( Oh well they still look decent. I did not add jewelry this time, I just kept my gold chain, earrings and bangles which are my everyday jewelry. This look is great for school, or a chill fun day!

Spring Fashion With Some Pattern

 

Hey everyone, I've been gone for like years, shame on me. However I am coming back and trying to update the blog on the regular. Bear with me lol I'm about to graduate! Neways, Here is a quick video of an outfit I wore recently that I think goes great for spring. Forgive for the quality, I'm not used to making videos so this is a process for me :) Hope you like, I want to hear from ya!

Mix Matching with Patterns and Colors

If you know me by now, I am totally into the mixing of patterns and colors. If you've noticed, these bright florescent colors are whats in this season. I paired this beautiful pink blouse and a nice patterned skirt to just add more interest. The pink makes you look feminine while the white and black skirt gives you some edge. I wore this outfit to church yesterday, and everyone liked it so I guess.... I did something right :) While I did where a black closed pumps, you could pair this outfit with those flashy metallic heels to elongate your legs, if your short like me, You will be on top of the world on those

Wearabe Layers

After watching Wendy's Lookbook layering video, I decided to try it myself but a little more toned down in the amounts of layers, brighter and suitable for warmer temperatures. I decided to use an old sweater that I've worn probably once (doesn't fit well) and cut up the front and back to make a the back look longer than the front. Hence the high low sweater! Since I love bright colors, I decided to match the mellow baby blue sweater with a neon-pink body skirt. I then topped that off with a grey 50's type cardigan almost like what old people where when they want to look snazzy :) I put that on top and that dumbs down the neon-pink and softens the baby blue sweater. Then for shoes, I wore my favorite boots at the moment and voila! You have a layered look for everyday! And if you don't like bright colors, the skirt could either be a pattern like black polka dots on a white print just for some interest. If the color still isn't enough, go to town on that outfit with more colors.

2 Outfits, 1 Jumper

In Fashion the main game is, how many times can you wear one item in different ways to make it look new every time. It's always important of course to shop but if you really want to test your fashion skills, see how many times you can wear one of your favorite shirts or blouses in different styles, shapes and layers, or whatever it is you like, you get the idea. I chose a flower patterned jumper with my favorite pair of boots.

This could be a day look with the what I like to call, the Grandpa cardigan since its oh so large. I paired that with the jumper underneath and my black army boots

 Don't mind the I'm a Stunna face :) Here is a more evening look with a blazer with broad shoulders paired with a grey over sized tee underneath. This is great for a casual night on the town, or wherever you like. Heck you could even wear this during the day if you like or even take off the t-shirt and just leave the jumper as is.

Since it's a little warm down here, I have no tights or leggings but If you live in a cold area, you can always where some tights underneath, either way it will still looks good.
