Zac Posen Pre-Fall/ Fall Collection

Ok, I`ve heard of Zac Posen, seen some of his work but was never really impressed until... NOW. I was looking through his look book and came across his Pre-Fall and Fall collections. I know I`m late but I am so happy I stumbled upon his work. His designs to me are just so fashion forward. They entitle all the characteristics I believe are important in fashion. He uses a variety  shapes, sizes and silhouettes to keep the designs interesting, he has different patterns and styles and always keeps the colors fresh and mesmerizing. These designs speak volumes to me, literally with the loud dresses and bright reds and blues and so on. If your not a Zac Posen fan yet, jump on the Posen wagon starting... NOW.

Jumper Madness!

I'm not the one to like long jumpers or rompers or whatever you call them but these ones are just EXCEPTIONAL! Michael Costello from Project Runway blew me away. I'm watching the Project Runway All Stars and he just did his 5 or 6 piece runway shoe. It was safari theme and I tell you, it was nothing less than fantastic. I couldn't find the pictures form the exact runway show, but these rompers form his site show you almost the good quality of what was on the runway. I think these rompers are great for spring/summer. They are comfortable, versatile and the patterns usually associated with them are eye catchers! I was never a fan before of this style but, good God he Costello's designs just changed my mind.

Hexa by Kuho

I was looking through Elle and I stumbled upon, haha stumbled upon.com a designer who just caught my eye. Kuho who is the designer of Hexa created beautiful peices for his spring/summer 2012 collection. I love the idea of adding masculine trousers and broad shoulders to a more feminine pleaded skirt and blouse. The styles to me screams Mod as well due to the school girl collars on some of the tops, plus it is all wearable which is a plus. He even goes an extra mile and adds a more militiristic styles to his tops by making the pleats wider and and the frame broader so it makes the models look sweet but in charge at the same time. I'm learning more and more that fashion should be kept clean but yet have some excitement and to me, Kuho exhibits that perfectly.

Tell me what you thonk of this designer! Do you agree with the masculine feminine combination or do you just like a more feminine or masculine look?

Spring Time Colors

Spring time is approcahing faster than you know it. That means you transitions from the darker colors of Fall/Winter and go to more vibrant and softer colors to fit the softer mood. Spring is a time for new beginnings and the colors you wear can really make a difference in the way you look and how people perceive you! This pink and baby blue are strong complimentary colors that adds sharpness to an outfit with the blue but also a softer look with the pink which I know sounds like an oxymoron but it's true. Also the use of orange adds more brightness and lets you play with the color palette more, so in other words, it all goes. I found this wonderful designer off of Elle's Website by the name of Elie Saab. His use of florale frabrics create an artistic feel to his outfits which I apsolutely love and find perfect for spring. Feels like peices of art walking on the runways.

This dress alone can be worn to party's like fundraisers or events such as magazine partys. This is the perfect length for spring since were are transitioning from cold weather to warm. The color is apsolutely amazing the the lace material adds more.

I love this piece especially. The way it goes from more material from the top to a more sheer material at the bottom keeps it interesting, as if its not interesting enough!

Hope you enjoyed! What are your favorite color an color combinations for the spring?

Who Is Chris Benz?

I found a designer that is new to me at least, that I truly like. Chris Benz. He is a great designer that just defines originality. His pattern choices are remarkable in the fact that the colors chosen are so bold and contrast each other perfectly. To me, a great designer adds different volumes to outfits and he makes it a point of duty to do that. Adding volume and different shapes keep a collection interesting and depending on how a person does it is a great defining factor of the collection. Take a look at some of the designs for the Spring 2012 collection.

I'm a sneaker freak! The facts this man put sneaks with his runway clothing really says something.

That black and white skirt is like Nigerian fabric Ankara, I love it.

Let me know what you think of this designer and his style.

Dries Van Noten

When a designer chooses fabric for his/her collection, he chooses fabrics that are comfortable, expensive looking and will catch the eye of his market. That what I believe Dries Van Noten does. He is able to mix certain patterns, volumes and looks to create master pieces on the runway. His color combining skiils and fabric choices just flow together. It is crucial to make clothes that are in style and fashion forward. With Dries Van Noten designs, you can't go wrong.

Vladimir Karaleev

As you may know by now, I like to dress with the up most comfort ability. Women today are in such a rush to do everything from your jobs, relationships etc your always on the go. However our clothes can be fast and look good to fit our lifestyle. One designer I have recently found Vladimir Karaleev. His clothes are very comfortable looking, slouchy and just chill. He designs for both men and women and is a German based designer so you can be sure he has a sharp uptake on fashion. He uses fantastic fabric and colors that look tasteful and effortless. I'm sure the runway models really get to relax walking in his clothing. This designer reminds me that you can still look good but be comfortable while doing it.
