Loving the Patterns

One thing I love about Nigerians is that we can party.I literally went to a party last night around 1am and didn't return home until 4:30am. Talk about a busy night full of music, food and dancing. I didn't wake up until noon, What a night. But as I was there, I saw a pattern on some lady's lace that I thought  was absolutely different than normal Nigerian lace.  The pattern was just beautiful and simple and just really made her whole attire look original form anybody else.

Here is the full pattern. Usually when people do lace, they do black on the inside and white flowers or whatever pattern on the outside.

Here my friend Adeola poses in a striped black and white striped skirt from H&M with a black see through top from Wetseal. I love the striped pattern, it can fit most body types well. This outfit gives you different proportions. A fitted skirt with a a loose bulky top.

Here I am in this gorgeous tan and brown pattern. This kind of dress with the pattern is called ankara which is great for party's and outings. This pattern matches my skin tone perfectly giving it a fresh look. The belt is added at the waist to narrow my stature and then the dress becomes more free at the bottom. I pair it with My all time favorite BEBE shoes.

I'm a lover of patterns and growing up in Nigerian culture, I've seen a lot. Patterns can really make an outfit. What are your favorite kinds of patterns patterns that really just want to make you stop and stare?
